...will have a book, in both soft- and hard-cover formats, and an ULTRA-LIMITED hard-cover edition, coming out from TwoMorrows on 11/20/09, and about damn time, I should say -
Also, that wonderful Norman Rockwell-style commission of the Thing & Franklin Richards by our own JB will be the cover of Back Issue #38, due out 1/20/10.
Edited just 'cuz I wanted to post a larger image of the Sal book!

It´s interesting to me that though John Buscema is considered "the Michelangelo of comics" (in the words of Stan, the man) Sal certainly does NOT stand in his shadow, having made his mark by the sheer force and enthusiasm in his drawings and impeccable professionalism throughout his career. Great to see him get some recognition, though he still deserves tons more.

Flavio, if John was the backbone of Marvel (after Jack Kirby left, of course), brother Sal was most of the whole fecking rib cage.

Sal Buscema is very close to the top of the list of my all-time favorite artists. I'll be all over the limited hardcover edition!

At long last, one of my (American) comic book heroes finally gets what he
deserves.
Can't wait for this book to come out.
Thanks for letting us know about this book.
Cheers, Peter aka vanullis

Legend has it there is/was a third Buscema brother whom John referred to as "the real artist in the family". The very thought of that makes me want to get an honest job!PS, count me in as a BIG fan of Sal!

Nobody, and I mean nobody, can draw the Hulk like Sal can!
Everybody else is just drawing a strong guy made up in green body paint.
A must buy for me.
Great title, btw, fitting.
G.

I'll be picking up both books. Sal draws a great Hulk. Does anyone know
whether or not Ron Frenz was influenced by Mr. Buscema?

I dunno. Trimpe and Kirby did a fair job. Oh, and this guy:
