I see Attila is updating his CAF gallery with each new reveal. The DOFP Wolverine is an inspired choice. Extremely well done.

…vellum, as I understand it, is a kind of parchment…
••
Vellum is a fancy word for tracing paper.
++
…is it also true that Spider-Man's costume was originally meant to be red and black, but it was simply too hard to consistently achieve in a way that looked good with the technology of the time?•• T'was not technology that was the problem, t'was that old devil time. It takes longer for the artist/inker to black in those areas, so, when chasing deadlines, those areas tend to shrink. and colors that were meant to be only highlights come to dominate. It happened to Batman's cape, to Spider-Man's costume, to the X-Men's original uniforms. And then, alas, as with things like Darkseid's pink arms, the change becomes canon, and we find people insisting that Spider-Man's costume has "always been" red and blue.*
*This is an entirely different argument from the one that insists the hi-lite represents the "true" color, and therefore Superman has blue hair.

When you redesigned his uniform to the earth tones, I wish you had included his original head gear.
Still, a masterful piece. To quote Carly Simon, "Nobody does it better!"

This must be the only time I like this headpiece. I think the Cockrum one is way better. Great Wolverines, boss. I wonder what the next one will be. The Savage Wolverine from the circus?

The latest piece is fantastic. He even looks younger, both in body and carriage. Still remember the first time I saw this costume in X-Men 139, when he was talking about the Wendigo. Great shot, chief.
Cheers, Mal

Okay, I finally have to speak. I really like the Old-School Wolverine.
I haven't chimed in before because in my mind, its redundant. Saying you like the way JB draws Wolverine is a lot like saying you like to keep breathing. And I like breathing.

Awesome! I also wish this original head gear was used by JB for his brown costume re-design circa X-men 139

I think Dave Cockrum did the world a big favour when he changed the headgear, as I really didn't like the original, but here you make it work. This is a very good commission -- really gives the impression of his namesake: compact, feral, not to be messed with. Very cool.

"Vellum is a fancy word for tracing paper. "
Ah... I was thinking of the stuff made of animal skins used in the Middle Ages. That would have been baffling to use in the comic coloring process!
"...we find people insisting that Spider-Man's costume has "always been" red and blue.*"
Hmm... I wonder how fans would react if they went back to the colors as originally intended!
