Okay. I'm going to revise an earlier statement I made recently. JB is my favorite Wolverine artist. Smith is number two.

Wow, these are the most amazing Wolverine commissions so far from you,
JB!! Makes me wanna go thru those classic issues of X-MEN that defined
Logan before every of writer felt the need to put their "stamp" on him.

Beautiful work, hope to see more Logan from JB...

I used to imagine that Wolverine's claws tapered more or less to infinity. Their points were literally fine enough to slice between atoms. It's really the only way to explain how even something as tough as adamantium could slice thru steel with nothing more driving it than strong (admittedly very strong) muscles.

---------------

And this explains my fascination with Wolverine's claws via JB.  They're perfect!

Those planks that other artists are using just don't cut it!

What I always loved is the way that JB drew the cowl as more of a helmet. How the "ears" were connected by a black band running along the base of the cowl and how he had Logan putting on the cowl like a helmet. Nothing irks me more than when artists draw the "ears" on the side of the cowl

Uh oh.  I hope some new hotshot writer doesn't take this interesting idea to its illogical conclusion and have Wolverine being able to slice 11 dimensional super strings!  Grant Morrison, stay away.

Was it Miller who first used the sword claws? I think Smith didn't really draw the glow/shades on the claws and he kinda left ambiguous as to how the claws looked like (especially after the Wolverine LS), but I think he drew the correct version.

I wish JB could teach everyone in the world how to draw Wolverine's "ear flaps" properly.

The trick, if such it may be called, is not to literalize them. They don't -- and shouldn't -- look the same from every angle.

That's an amazing Wolverine set JB. You truly are the only artist I've ever really enjoyed drawing this character. Congratulations to the lucky recipient.

It does do the heart good to see Wolverine back on-model.
