first noticed John in our (still-life) classes. While the rest of us were drawing nudes, John was drawing sketches of Batman and Spider-Man

When I was in college, the nudes were not still-life. Or is this some Canadian phrase?

I'm surprized there isn't a famous fictional "Steven Myers/Meyer/Meijer" there seem to be thousands of us of the non-famous variety.

Nude models were call Life Drawing, as I mentioned.

Seems unlikely Kitty would have made that error. Probably a transcriber, or the reporter.

Sorry, but this seems prudish. She makes it sound like her life is a living hell and she goes home, bolts the door and pulls down the shades, and cry's in a fetal position till the pain stops every time someone brings it up. Please.
