Why would a badass 10 year old give these people such a rod? What is "Robin" to them?

How do you know it does? You're the only comic "fan" I'm aware of  who ties reading comics with sexual gratification. Does thinking of a ten year old Robin give you a rod?

I'm comprehending what you're writing, Chad. I just don't understand why you dwell on sexual gratification when it comes to the comics you read. Maybe you can enlighten me. Why do you think of getting a hard on when it comes to a ten year old Robin? What are you seeing in that picture that sexually excites you?

I still think of Robin as Batman's pal/little brother/surrogate son, and together they fight crime. 

Maybe I'm not bringing enough baggage to the table.

I never bought that there was anything more to it than that myself, Andrew. I don't see anything sexually deviate going on in the Morrison/Quitely book but Chad sure does and I'm curious why.

Anyone who sees in Batman and Robin something other than an idealized father/son relationship is probably revealing a whole lot more about themselves than they want to!

Ooh . . . so many Quitely images . . . I think I just threw up on my mouth a little.

To be fair, though, let's give credit where credit is due -- Quitely rocks because he lets the REAL stars (the colorists) do what they do best:

I mean, really -- who needs all that ink and drawing when you can just zip out a few lines, trace a Jay Leno face, and then let the colorist make it look so darn real?  Grandeur?  Pffft, I say -- gimme a talented colorist over a good artist any day!

I've always found it interesting that Wertham forever denied that he wanted the censorship that followed or that he had anything specifically against comic books as an artform.
