My opinion:

I like Dave's cover -- but JB's has more punch(!)...

"Remember that name: BONEBLASTER!"

••

Unfortunate balloon placement.

++

…as you can tell from the dialogue.

••

What part of that dialog, specifically, gives this clue?

The character was a joke character.  He was supposed to be an amateur idiot with sonic vibration gloves trying to become a big name villain, as you can tell from the dialogue.  He basically gets his butt handed to him...repeatedly...through the issue.

That's something of a relief.

Arc, I'll just say that one of the new columnists on the website is likened to a cup of coffee.

Honestly, my only beef with Quitely is that his work is full of what I think are called tangents. That cover is great, except, the BatPlane, Batman and Robin are all lined up almost parrallel with the main center shape of the bat signal. It drives me crazy lol. But I guess that's part of the charm for people who like it.

The other artist Chad posted looks like his page's taken from Alan Davis comics or am I hallucinating? And it's not very nice to use retarded as a derogatory. <:{

No, that's certainly not Alan Davis' work, Martin (if that's what you're asking).

OK, I have no idea why, but the speed lines on the panel
where Catwoman kicks Boneblaster in the back make it look
like she's flying *away* from him, not into him.

I nominate this as the worst art I've ever seen in a Batman comic. ANY Batman comic. Ever.

I meant, it looks like parts of it were "inspired" from older Davis comics. I don't hate it, except there's alot of cropping.

I've seen MUCH worse artwork with Batman and Robin than that Quietly cover.

I see. It's quite possible.  That's not Quitely, is it?

I may be being a bit on the picky side here, but the storytelling in the Gotham Sirens page is really flawed.

1.  Catwoman is attacking Bonecrusher from behind, but then switches going left to right.  Which does makes sense because if she continued going in that direction then she would have taken out the others aswell.  So not really well planned out.

2.  Who is CW telling to 'Get out of here!'?  It should be shown that it's the couple.

3.  The couple would have to run past BC in order to carry on down the alley.

4.  BC's left arm is extended in his attack on CW but then his right is extended when she punches him.  Also his back is facing her in the previous panel so it would make more sense for her to kick him in the back, as that is the best position that she's been set up for in the previous panel anyway.  Or if she had to punch him then it should be with the right hand as this would have more momentum.

Just my two pence worth.
