Gleen Greenberg said "Post those photos here if you can. I'd love to see them! "

I'll see what I can do.

First Guggenheim goes back to the past with some Ben Reilly flashbacks. Then Howard and Tom retell the Clone Saga in September and in October DeMatteis is taking on Kaine!!!!

A new Spider-Man ongoing, Web of Spider-Man launches in October. Here's the snippet from the article on Marvel.com

With the ‘Gauntlet' storyline starting up and many classic adversaries of Spider-Man coming back to the book, we wanted to find a place to tell you more about them without it eating up too many pages of the thrice-weekly AMAZING SPIDER-MAN," explains series editor Steve Wacker. "So while we were tossing ideas around on where to best put that stuff, beleaguered assistant Tom Brennan came up with the notion to bring back the [WEB OF SPIDER-MAN] title as a way to give a home to stories to people caught up in Pete's life. Starting with the first issue's Kaine story by J.M. DeMatteis and then continuing onto stories about Electro, the Rhino, the Lizard and many more by Web-Head Fred Van Lente and regular Spidey artist Barry Kitson, the stories here directly impact what we're doing in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN!"

Loving the Clone Revolution. And all the original creators are having some part in it. Now someone has to bring Todd DeZago in to write something :)

I hope they bring back Kaine. He was my favourite thing about the Clone Saga.

I like the idea of the Web of Spider-Man book.  I hope it can do well enough to continue publication.  Books focusing on supporting cast and not on the lead character haven't seemed to do that well, at least in recent years.  Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen, had a long run but I don't know that it could make it today as an ongoing series (an occasional mini-series or one-shot, perhaps).

Isn't this the same idea as a Spider-Man book from a few years back? Maybe it was TANGLED WEB...?

It looks like the new Web of Spider-Man series will be more like the Spider-Man Extras they have been putting out spotlighting Spidey's foes leading into the arcs in the regular title. Some top creators are already signed on. In addition this is where you can catch the Spectacular Spider-Girl.

It is truly an awesome and exciting time to be a Clone Saga fan... I think this can in part make up for the mistakes of OMD/BND. I think the only Clone Saga creator's work who I never really cared for was Terry Kavanagh, no offense to him. But Tom DeFalco, Howard Mackie, J.M. DeMatteis, Todd DeZago, Dan Jurgens, Mark Bagley, Sal Buscema, John Romita Jr, Steven Butler... that was an All-Star line-up.

And speaking of Guggenheim, here's my review of ASM Annual #36:

Hey Glenn! Still there? Look! I did find the photos from 14 years ago! I won't post them here but in case you're still interested send me a private email thru the JB forum and I'll gladly show them to you thru a webpage.

Nope, they are playing the possible return of Ben pretty close to the vest. My guess is they want to see how these comics sell before they commit to bringing him back.

Also, my interviews with Clone Saga artist Todd Nauck and the JBF's own Howard Mackie are now up:
