Indeed it was! And Bobby would have come back too, if
only I could have figured out how to draw him properly!
What always bothered me about Iceman was, Colossus turns to
steel but still has his hair, Iceman covers himself in ice
but his hair doesn't show through nor was his head drawn
"higher" to compensate for the hair being under the ice. I
guess he learned that trick from the Human Torch.

He also had Angel crucified, helpless and doomed to
marry some butch with a knife in the sewers. He was rescued
by Storm
At least he didn't chop off his wings and make him the
Archangel.

At the other end of the spectrum, I really, really, really disliked it when Iceman was suddenly being drawn with spiky ice hair and a beard, Especially when he guest starred in on of the issues of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN I drew and it was "fixed" by the inker. In much the same way you "fix" a cat.I didn't have any problem with the 'hairless' Iceman. Just seemed like it was slicked down under the ice coating, like wearing a swimmer's cap.

At least in the XMF continuity Cyclops is not (so far, and I hope it stays that way) Cable's father (God, I hated that revelation).
**********************
How's this since it was all but stated before Claremont left? Is he not staying within the continuity established before his departure?
And why wouldn't he use Iceman in Forever since Bobby was on the team, and appeared in his( Chris's) book at the time?

That could very well be the case JB. In those issues, it was stated that Angel was everything several species of birds were (or something like tat) and more. There was also a cool scene that showed Angel holding up a collapsed ceiling or wall by using both his hands and wings. I really wish someone could post those pages from those particular issues.

Brian, IIRC, Cable being revealed to being Cyclops son happened after he had already left the book.

About Iceman in Forever Claremont said:
"All I can say, is wait & see -- and perhaps prepare to be surprised here & there."
(Answering a fan of Beast who likes when Bobby is around and regreted that Iceman wasn't a favorite of Chris)

Brian, Angel was on the ground when he held up that collapsed wall or ceiling. He wasn't flying.

I thought the movie look was pretty good. Good luck drawing
that though ;-)
And yeah Cable being Cyclops' son was after CC left.
Oh and another good CC Angel story Marvel Fanfare 1-4.

I was never a fan of the bearded Iceman. That was an unnecessary change.
