I'm seeing a lot of editor's names on there: Stan Lee, Roy Thomas, Archie Goodwin, Marv Wolfman, Jim Shooter, Len Wein, Mark Gruenwald, Joe Quesada, Tom DeFalco, but . . . . I am not seeing Tom Brevoort's name on there!  His name should definitely be included!

As with others, I'm also surprised by the absence of Ross Andru, Roger Stern, Carlos Pacheco, Ron Lim, and Knut's Filipino Invasion!

On the positive side, I'm happy to see JB, Jim Starlin, Jack Kirby, Joe Sinnott, Gene Colan, Steve Ditko, the Buscema brothers, and some of my other faves!

Finally, regarding new/er artists, Marcos Martin should be on this list.  He's done some incredible work on both Doctor Strange and Spider-Man.  MM is the new Ditko!

Wrightson penciled about 2 dozen comics for Marvel, but nothing I would call groundbreaking.  (and yes, I was thinking of Ploog and his Frankenstein & Man-Thing work).

And for me as a kid Ross Andru = Spider-Man and George Tuska = Iron Man so I don't see how either of them got left off.

And no love for Paul Gulacy and his terrific run on Master of Kung Fu?  Or Frank Brunnner who did some great Howard the Duck and Doctor Strange art?

Bob Brown?  Jim Mooney?  Werner Roth?  Sam Grainger?  Don Perlin?

The only thing I remember Berni doing was that Punisher:POV mini (at least I think he did it).  So I guess it takes one mini and some covers and your in (not that he doesn't deserve it on talent alone).

I was shocked that Roger and Ross Andru were not on the list.  That is damn near criminal!  Kind of suprised by no Pollard or Brunner as well.

Yeah Frank Brunner, Roger Stern, Paul Gulacy, Rich Buckler, Bob Layton, David Micheline should all be there. What about Paul Neary and Ron Frenz?

Rob Liefeld? Jimmy Cheung? Daniel Way? Chris Giarruso?

I don't know what Rob is doing there, unless making a blue jean commercial is enough to get you in. Do the other three even have enough output to consider Hall of Fame material? I mean we're talking Hall of Fame not "Hey you had the hit, event mini-series of the year" award.

Oh come on. That's hardly all he did. I don't like Liefield's work and I don't care that his star has fallen drastically but let's not start misrepresenting the past.

The is a strong case for McFarlane and Liefeld - they were both very influentional during their time at Marvel.  So I can't really say they shouldn't be there.

A lot of those guys from 2000 on are another story however.

And I guess if you include Fred Hembeck you need to include Chris Giarruso.

And both of them are great, so let's keep them in there!

Sad to see that Al Milgrom is still being blacklisted at Marvel.

Al was Mr. Utilityman for Marvel for SO many years.  You could almost expect him to do a cover once in a while any ANY title just to keep deadlines going.

I'm with you there. Time will tell in their cases though. There are a lot of names on here whose work I don't like but pretending that some of the Image guys contributed nothing just because you know... They're IMAGE GUYS!!!... is well, lying.

Most of those guys were writers as well. Brevoort ever do any writing?

Good lord, did some people just sit down and make of list of people they remembered off the top of their heads?

This is just one of the reasons I hate lists like this.  There's always someone left off, and folks remembered for the bad are in the same category as those for the good.
