Ray Walston was mine.  =)

Speaking of My Favorite Martian I really enjoyed the animated series.  I remember sneaking up early to watch that, MUSH, Fraidy Cat, Waldo Kitty on the Groovie Goolies and Friends Hour.

Roth didn't come anywhere near the grace and depth that Reeve brought to the role.  Roth did "Reeve-isms," not play the role(s) of Clark Kent/ Superman.  He lacked Reeve's charisma and presence -- as well as Superman's -- but he tried to imitate Reeve's performance rather than recreate it.

****

Routh probably came closer to Richard Lester's character than the one presented by Richard Donner.

I agree with JB-- George Reeves nailed Clark Kent. Sharp, tough-as-nails reporter for a major newspaper, nobody's patsy but an all-around good guy.

Likewise, Christopher Reeve nailed Superman. Comfortable in his own skin, friendly, self-effacing, but unstoppable (and you do NOT want to get him angry).

As for this thread, I figure it this way: Stan Lee created She-Hulk, Roger Stern and JB brought her to life.

And Brandon Routh was a pretty pale imitation of Christopher Reeve, if that's what Singer was going for (and it appears that was the case, since he made a sequel to the earlier movies instead of a reinvention).

The Slott She-Hulk was fun to read, I came into it after the first TPB and stuck with it through part of the PAD take over.

I guess the harder, to play Superman, is to find an actor with blue hairs ?

Anywho, let's get back to the subject of the She Hulk. How about Jennifer Garner -or- Hillary Swank to play the role? When can make her look shorter on camera as Jennifer Walters, then taller when she plays She Hulk. Add some rubber muscles and green paint and viola!   The Hulk wasn't green enough in the movie, so let's work on that. I like my hulks GREEEN !

Hate Jennifer Garner, and Swank but they would look closer to the Savage She-Hulk.  Body building beauty is more like it than those horse faces.
