I can honestly say I love every issue (story arc) that is going to be in Vol 2.
It's a classic, Jason. I read it once a year, along with Dreadstar and JB's run on the FF!

Gotta think Jim had something else in mind! +++ Do you know Jim Starlin in person, JB? Have you two ever considered working something together?

As much as I love the Jim Starlin version of Adam Warlock, I think the best artist for him was this guy - Gil Kane! -

If you´re talking pure ART, I agree. Hard to beat Kane´s anatomy skills.
Starlin was better at storytelling, though.

Flavio--I agree with you on that. Kane on Warlock was absolutely stunning art but Starlins run storywise was so good it has to be read!

Had he remained the enigmatic Him, he might have -- but Adam Warlock
didn't do much for me. +++++++++
Guess HIM was a cypher.
In the Thomas/Kane stories, Adam Warlock was a Jesus Christ template, complete with crucifixion.
Then, Starlin turned him into Space Elric, thrall of his soul-stealing blade, er, I mean, jewel.
I sound like a wet blanket, but don´t get me wrong, both runs are GREAT.

Hey - like they say, there are no new ideas!
I will agree that I liked the Starlin stories better than the Thomas ones, but I found both runs enjoyable.
And I was introduced to Him/Adam Warlock in the pages of The Incredible Hulk #178 when he and the Hulk squared off against the Man-Wolf so I didn't get to read the Fantastic Four or Thor appearances until years later.
Notice the Herb Trimpe goodness -

The High Evolutionary! Oh-hhhh, man! Would they dare create a character
with that name in today's climate?
(One of my all time favorite character names, btw!)

It is one of my favorite names and villians as well. Especially seeing how inter woven Warlock is with the High Evolutionary.
This may have me re-thinking the order of my other pieces I am getting done.
