<Why. or how for that matter, do they even pull a paycheck?>
That same tpb shows a monster crossing Lake Erie to Cleveland; the artist draws the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to the wrong scale, making it appear about two stories tall, drops it in the middle of an empty field in front of a sign that says "Welcome to Cleveland," with a lake in the background. Great research.
Love this piece, though these characters I'm the least familiar with of JB's work. Hey, I'll get around to it...

When did Puck start wearing the full leg portion of his costume? Was it during JB's run? The reason I ask, I remember seeing Puck's hairy legs in his costume.

As much as I miss those great stories of Alpha Flight, I really miss Puck the fun-loving mystery man. At the time I thought of him as cross between Ben Grimm and Wolverine. He had humorous fighting approach that hid great pain, kind of like Ben. And, he would drop names and hints that there was a lot more to him than what you saw. For example, like bullfighting with Hemingway and such. I never wanted to see the origin of Puck like how never wanted to see the origin of Logan.

This is fabulous!
Geof Isherwood did a nice Sasquatch for me in a commission as well, so i like to think 2 artists get it right.

Very nice!
JB, did you have a "casting choice" for Northstar? Was there one real-life face you were modeling him on?

Great piece! Love the signature.
Was there any request by the commissioner which characters would be displayed most predominately?

YES!!
Finally a chance to relive the great white past! John, I know that you have your reservations about AF, but after hearing all the praises on this forum for the characters and your creation/run on the book, don't you realize what a special thing you have created? Does it boggle your mind that fans find AF so meaningful to them?

What a great piece. Dare I say, perfection?
As for that image Matt Reed posted. Talk about completely missing on
Guardian (not you Matt, whoever the artist is). Ugh.
