It's cool observing the two 'side-by-side'; the first creates a feeling of subtle tension, with the posing and expansive background. The second recreation cranks up the emotion factor, and puts more emphasis on the central characters.

Great stuff, as always.

Easily the most grotesque example comes from about 20 years ago, when
Roger Price was briefly acting as my art agent. He was at a con with a pile of
my pages on his table, and someone came over to look thru them. The guy
protested that the prices were too high (they weren't). Roger told him if he
could find the same page for less anywhere at the con, he would beat that
price. The guy went off in search of the bargain pages.
