The dry brush work really makes the figure stand out. Great piece!

Tomb of Dracula is my favorite series that JB never touched.

Hmm, wasn't one of JB's early Marvel jobs in a Giant-Size Dracula?

(My apologies if I'm wrong, my memory not so good <g>)

••

First sale to Marvel was eventually published in GIANT-SIZED DRACULA 5.

But it was not a Dracula story.

Look around! You will find whole websites dedicated to the proposition that
you get one of those every time I pick up a pencil!

Clint, you ARE a lucky bugger, just so you know!  This horror theme is turning out great, and I for one can't wait to see what's next! Awesome!

And JB, you were born to draw horror!*

*  Which would be a given addition to the notions that you were born to draw (and in most cases write) most Marvel and DC heroes, any Kirby concept, SF and fantasy comics (at the very least).

I've been intrigued by this Zombie character ever since this commission popped up two years (!!!) ago.  I've had the ESSENTIAL TALES OF THE ZOMBIE sitting in a stack for about a year.  I just recently started reading it and....it's really good!  I keep thinking it could've been a great 1980s horror movie franchise!  Pablo Marcos' art is top notch as well.
