Good lord Emery, that's one hell of a great description for drinking a beer!

Not much of a beer drinker; the only one I enjoy is Corona (and even then, I think I like the lime more than the beer.)

Choose one beer ? Can't do it. Heck, I've normally have 20 different beers in stock at any one time.

I will give a shout out to Sam Adams Boston Lager, often the only tasty thing on restaurant beer menus in my vicinity.

and to Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, their winter offering, with which I've had a love affair for over 15 years.

Sticking to just one, it would be this:

Spotted Cow from New Glarus Brewing Company in Wisconsin (about a 45 minute drive from where I live). It's a smooth, flavorful beer. I don't think I know of anyone who's tried it who hasn't enjoyed it.

Hmmm...

If I'm being forced to choose...its going to be a throwdown between Victory Brewing's Golden Monkey or Hoegaarden (neither of which are anything alike).

Ahh.. You americans are so lucky and you dont know it.  You live in the land of beer.  You have a crap load of great microbreweries!!  I wish us guys in Australia had such a selection.

Hell.. A bottle of Sierra Nevada Pale ale costs $8.50 if you can find one.  The only easily accessable US beer is Budweiser.  Craptacular I know. =P

Whats my favourite beer?  This is my top 5.

1.  Westvleteren 12.  I would have to fly to Belgium again one day for another taste.  Too bad the monks dont make it for profit.  Just for the upkeep of the monastary.

2.  Deus.  Champagne of Beers.  Sounds stupid.  Tastes great.

3.  Gouden Carolus, Carolus D'Or - Cuvee Van De Keizer.  Good winter beer.  Cold day.  Warm fire.  This beer.  Perfect.

4.  St. Bernardus Abt 12.  Westvleterns poor brother.  Which is a good thing.

5.  Weinstephener Heffewiessbier.  My staple beer.  Ol' faithful.  Whats always in the fridge.
