JB, regarding commissions, do you ever wish people would go for less obvious choices for commissions?

Interesting to see that someone keeps referring to the Walt Simonson echo. I'm pretty much beginning to see how (the face and shaping of the legs and arm in this pose).
Looking forward to the next one.

Along with the "Argh! Wolverine again!" reaction, there is also the reaction
that welcomes the challenge of finding a way to draw the character that I
have not done 100 times before. This is one of the reasons I discourage the
customers from trying to "write" the pieces they order, since they almost
invariably ask for something I have done 100 times before.
(Understandable, of course. But ultimately, I feel, not really letting me give
them their money's worth!)

Fantastic piece, JB.
Thanks for posting the images side by side, William. I think I prefer an expressionless Batman. It is as if he is always in control even as he is falling off 30 story building.

What's really interesting with the new one is that the Bat-Line isn't secured to anything. He's totally in free-fall. That's pretty cool.

Thanks Willian. The new pic may take place a few seconds earlier before Batman has gotten his rope ahold of something. That's why he is expressionless. The other piece he is gritting his teeth having to oull out of the fall. These pieces are loads of fun!
Wow, I didn't realize Wolverine and Batman were in a dead heat re solo pieces. This is amazing when you consider you've never really had a Batman run. A clear testament to how good your Batman is. While there may be more Wolverines on the list, I'd wager that there are some more Batmans on the way as well.

Very unusual; I like it. One question: how big is this piece?
