Another sample to show that I'd follow him to anywhere!
Even to Star Brand!

If you haven't seen what he's doing in KICK-ASS, you're missing out.
Amazing acting and action to be found inside those covers... |

That's one I'm gonna have to pass on. I've browsed through it but while the art is great, it's also just too graphic for me.

JB: Saddens me to see JR sully himself with crap like Sentry.

I agree. The art is always amazing -- but the subjects and writers can be a let down. I always end up buying everything JR does -- I look forward to his return on Spider-Man!!!

What I admire about JRjr's work is that you can see in the finished page that he has taken the time to build the whole thing from perspective grids to backgrounds to sketched-in figures and finally to finished pencils. Add to that his great sense of pacing, balance and placement and you just can't beat it. All of those steps, I am guessing, probably contribute a lot to why you don't see wasted lines or "busy" areas that you tend to get from lesser artists who haven't taken the time to lay the foundations down.
All of which can just as easily be said about the other pros I admire: JB, Perez, Davis, and others...

That Spider-Man cover is great. JR Jr. and Janson at their best.

I wish they'd give Power-Man his suit back. I understand getting rid of the 70's afro, but I always thought his costume and Iron Fist's were fantastic. Especially together, after they teamed up.
