Got around to reading #6 last night. I did like it but I think it was a very rushed and very over-filled final issue. Far too many characters squeezed into such a short space of time although I did like the splitting of them into pairs for those 2-page spreads, nice tough. The writing reminded me of Erik Larsen's Savage Dragon in that it's so many new characters thrown at the reader without a chance to enjoy them before another new lot are thrown our way. Still, for a first effort, it was excellent and JB's art of course made it all worthwhile.

Guys, sorry I've been slacking in my responses. I've been a bit busy with
home and work stuff.
William - great pics of your kids. Really, really made me smile.
Everybody else - thanks for reading the series and thanks for all the kind
words. I really do appreciate it.
Leigh - I understand what you're saying and agree with it about the issue
being over-filled. I sent John probably a 32 or more page plot, but like I
said before I was fast running out of FX money and we did it in 24.
Considering everything I packed into that plot, I think John did a great
job hitting the high points. I'll try to pace the next one better.
I'll be a MidOhio Con. James has been kind enough to offer me a table so
I should be easy to find there.
I'll also be at Baltimore but that's more for fun but will be glad to sign
anything you guys might want or just chat a while.
And I'll be at that Ashland show that Dave was kind enough to arrange
for me. I hope to see some of you there.
best to you all and thanks again,
WO

Found the time to go to my CBS yesterday night. Among others, FX# 6 was waiting for me.
I waited to be back home to read it quietly. It was fun. Sad to see this first mini ending, I am looking forward to read the next one. I really hope we will have the opportunity to see more of the foundation.
As some said, I found the ending a little bit quick, but it was still OK.
And Wayne, for my 4 years old son, FX is " the multiple powers boy " (exact words) and he really like the comics.

I finally tracked down FX #6 last week. Two local comics shops sold out before I could get a copy and I got the last copy at the third shop. I enjoyed it a great deal. Congrats to Wayne -- and please keep us posted on the future of this series.

I have all six issues now. I had five when this picture was taken. This is my bed. I can't sleep without these comics. I enjoyed the FX comic, a little fast there at the end though, but now I got an explanation. Good characters, writing and of course JB's art. The "never the end" phrase was borrowed from another famous comic?

Actually (and I confess upfront that my currently reading the second Kamandi Archives volume might be affecting my judgment here), I think that "the Multiple Powers Boy" would be an excellent epithet or even subtitle for FX. FX the Multiple Powers Boy certainly has a nice ring to it (in my ears at least, but then again they are as stated swimming with "Kamandi the Last Boy on Earth" right now... though there's certainly worse company for FX to keep).
Incidentally, Wayne, any time travel stories up ahead? Even more specifically curiousity wise, would you ever consider "showing" us a possible future world of the Wayniverse (and, then of course equally possible, an adult FX)? Only asking since I've always tended to enjoy those types of tales ("Days of Future Past" still being a highranking member of the group).

Oh, isn't there plenty of good, classic comics who've used that phrase? That or the variant (of a sort), "The End?" But I certainly agree that it's part of the greatness, the neverending story feeling it generates.

For you, my friend... Always! Keep 'em coming!
Btw, Wayne, is there anywhere online, where information up upcoming FX stuff is available? The where, when and who'll be involved kind of thing. While I think it's sad that JB won't be around for round 2 (though perhaps possibly for some other round down the line?), I would once more like to say that I think the whole team, including lettering and colouring, has been doing a great job, so I naturally wonder if the rest of the guys will be around for round 2... and of course who'll have to fill JB's shoes in his absence.
