I'm a little behind in my reading, but I finished #6 last night. Great job, fellas. I really liked the page layout in this one and the special cover was a nice way to wrap up the mini-series (there will be more, Lars). I thought Wayne acquitted himself quite well for a newbie writer, and JB's art was perfect for the tone of the book; old school fun comics. I'm looking forward to the next installment, and seeing how far Wayne can take his creations. It's all been very impressive.

The trade will contain all six issues and is supposed to be released in November. In fact, if any of you are within hailing distance of Ashland, KY, there will be a small, unpretentious comic book show on November 16th in Ashland, and Wayne will be there as a guest. I think he said this show might be the debut of the trade paperback for FX. Beau Smith will be there too.

Thanks for that update, Dave.  Sadly, it looks like Ashland, KY is over 2.5 hours away from me.  Probably too far to drive one way on a Sunday.

Wayne, how's MidOhioCon looking for this October???

Slacker. I drive to Pittsburgh or Detroit and back on a sunday all the time and that's 5 hours one way! I'm not normal though. : )

You're complaining about a 2.5 hours drive, Joe?!? I'd have to cross the Atlantic to make it, fer cryin' out loud! Now go and meet Wayne. Bring along any family and make a Sunday picnic out of it. ;)

Oh, I've met Wayne....but that was before he was a big shot comic writer.  I hear he now wears sunglasses inside, a sports coat over his t-shirt with jeans and tennis shoes.  I want to see if it's true!

I wanna congratulate Wayne and JB. I got FX#6 and the whole miniseries was a blast!

I hope I'll be able to swing by my LCS tomorrow. And then naturally hope that my copy of FX #6 will have made it across the pond and be there waiting for me.

And I went, I found, I read... to paraphrase a bit.

Great ending to a great series. Sure, the wrap up felt a bit... not necesarily forced but a tad swift, but I'm only hoping that means those particular problems are bound to pop up again at a later point.
The thing I really missed (and which I hope we'll be seeing more of in coming series) was seeing more about Tom's link to the Aegis group.

Also have to say that I really, REALLY hope there will be both Homefront and Foundation minis up ahead (at the very least one of each, or a one shot of each...).

Anyways, I definitely hope we'll be getting tons of new FX material over the years to come!

Btw, as a point of curiousity will John Workman still be lettering on the next mini? And will Greg and Gerry's Color Shoppe still be doing the colours?  I'm just asking since I think these three fine gentlemen have also contributed in making this series as good as it is.

Congrats, Wayne for creating a fun series. I enjoyed the story a lot, but have a lot of questions . .  . which will inspire me to pick up the next mini-series, you sneaky devil!

The only REALLY bad thing I can think of when it comes to FX is that it is a crying shame that this isn't an ongoing title.

I think the mini series format is good and all, but Wayne's set up would work so well just as an on-going series. Heck I'm all for a fully expanded Wayneverse with three glorious on-going titles (i.e. FX, Foundation and Homefront), that I wouldn't mind seeing it all. And I'd subscribe to all three for certain (provided that Wayne is plotting and picking the artists to work with).
