For some reason the kid on the right reminded me of that telekinetic/telepathic kid in the Neal Adams /Denny O'Neil Green Lantern/Green Arrow series. The "Kaluta sound effect issue:" You know: evil pigtail girl. (I don't have the issues here, so I can't check)
Evil Pigtail Girl sez; "Read FX or I'll make your head explode!"

Knut, The name your looking for is "Sybil". And while Lily may not be "evil pigtail girl" she is quite precocious!

Wayne, Sorry, got a little off topic there. The girls and I really did enjoy it. For me it was like going back to the good old days, and for the girls......well, trying to get through reading one page to them without "Daddy who's that? or Daddy Can I fly?" was challenging. Thanks again Wayne.

William, that "kids* enjoy FX" pic is priceless. And the Lily solo pic also brought on a big smile... now imagine her having FX's power, William. Quiet life, no? ;)
* And girls at that! Whoever said the superhero genre was a boys club?

Wayne: Excellent series. Without getting into the personal details, was this venture successful for you (other than having the opportunity to work with JB!)? In other words was this a profitable venture or one that was a manageable loss (meaning it cost you some $$ but you've made progress/advances in other aspects of business)? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Wayne-
Thanks! It was a hoot! When you’re 60 years and re-reading
the trade I hope you’ll take great satisfaction in knowing that you did all it
took to bring your dream to life. I’m sure there are a few things you’d change
here and there, but the fact of the matter is you gave these characters
rattling around in your head life. Whether this is their only run or there are
200 more issues, they will now be part of the comic book history. There’s probably
are some kids pretending to be FX and the gang, just as I pretended to be
Wolverine. Wolverine may only be lines on the paper for some, but in the nooks
and crannies of my mind he’s alive. I have a feeling these characters are alive
and going on new adventures in a lot of kid’s minds, and that is something to
be proud of!
Congratulations Wayne!
You’ve done good!
Thanks JB for all the wonderful art and what you brought to
the table in making this a very enjoyable tale!

Fun wrap to this series!
I like the double-page format thruout the book, and the single focused adventure.
Congrats, Wayne & JB!

Finally got FX 5 & 6 and I gotta say AWESOME
I love that this is a world where super-heroes are just matter of fact and an expected part of life, so the book can be self-referential (ie. 'you have to work on your banter") yet not fall into the trap of most modern comics that self-referential and self-degrading. This book is a celebration of old school comics and I love it.

I have not yet issue 6. Questions for anybody who knows please: Does issue 6 wrap it up for good or will it be more? What issues are contained in the FX paperback, there is going to be a paperback right? When will the paperback be released?
