Whoa, I've never seen the cover to issue 57 before!  "New" "classic" Alpha Flight!

ROM just reminded me why I find the Grand Comicbook Database
sometimes so annoying. A search for "ROM" yeilded every comicbook that
that those three letters in the title -- as in ROMANCE or FROM or
"DROMEN".

That cover was messed with in Production. On the original, ROM was
smaller, since he was in the background. You didn't look at it and wonder
why he was shooting Sasquatch in the shoulder!

I prefer to use Milehighcomics.com site to search for images of covers,
which are also larger.

I also find annoying about GCD that it lists international editions, which is a
problem for popular series like X-Men.

I relied on the GCD for quite sometime until I found comicbookdb.com.  I rarely use the GCD anymore because I find it's search function pretty much useless.  At comibookdb.com you can search and sort by artist, writer, title, character and when you find a character it breaks it down into titles they appear in, etc.  With the GCDyou just get a huge list with pages and pages to look through trying to find the information.

Example:  If you wanted to know what issues of Superman did John Byrne draw...at GCD you type in "John Byrne" and you get dozens of pages to browse through looking for Superman.  At comicbookdb.com you type in "John Byrne" and it takes you to a screen with all the titles JB has worked on.  You then click "Superman" and it gives you a list of just the Superman comics JB drew.  It's that easy!  Even better actually....it even breaks it down by what issues he wrote, what issues he just did covers for, etc.

Hm.....so it is!  Oddly enough, that's usually another of my complaints about comics.org!

I really think you should try it though JB....you'll like it!

I use http://www.dcindexes.com/ for DC Covers.

They have every DC cover plus covers of acquired companies and imprints.  The only thing I don't like is they are too small.
