This Batman by Pope has a classic look to it.



I think Pope likes Kirby.

I like Pope's artwork.  I can't say I've ever read any of his super-hero stuff, though.

The way they are drawn.  I see a lot of Kirby in Pope's work.  Take a look at Orion and let me know what you think of Pope's rendition.  My opinion is that Pope is an artist you either "love or hate".

I don't doubt that Pope may have a fondness and respect for Kirby's work. I just don't think it is shown through his style of art. Or I should say his art doesn't seem influenced by Kirby.
