So damn busy! And I don't even have any real classes this semester!!!! My brass quintet is headed to Louisville in a few weeks for a prestigious competition. Today I dropped $3000 on a new trumpet. This year instead of living in a stranger's basement I'm living in a palace with 2 friends, so I'm expected to socialize and not spend boatloads of time here on the JBF!!!

Has anyone else noticed Facebook being particularly flaky today? I've had to
log back in at least twelve times so far today.

I'm trying to stay off Facebook today, but it's been off and on the last two days, little things here and there.

Yeah. I work alone from an office in a spare bedroom at my house, so
Facebook serves as my work-day social connection (a virtual watercooler, if
you will), so I'm often hooked up even if it's just in the background and
forgotten about for hours on end.
Today every time I've taken a break, I've had to log back in. Then, during
the breaks, I've had to log back in three or four times each.

Anyone else curious about how/why so many other Scrabble players have gotten the word "oxyphenbutazone" in their games?

I figured they set up the word in just the right spot just so they can get in the record books. Doubt it was a fair game.

Hating Word Twist this weekend.
Correction: Hating Word Twist when my kids are going a mile a minute in the room. That thing needs a pause button. Or, my kids need a mute button.

I rarely do Word Twist. Hate the time limit part of it; too nerve wracking.

I hear you, Ryan. I've had to stop playing WordTwist on my breaks because
of the lack of a 'pause' function. Phone rings - I lose.
Arrrg.
