LOVE that black-and-white image, Steve -- that is almost perfect!  The second image is similar to what I was considering with a beach ball (probably where I got the idea originally, in fact).  I found a slightly larger image:

Definitely captures the spirit of the Beast, but I like the first pic you posted much better.

From Heritage - Perez circa 1978:

I remembered the drawing, but the pose is not what you asked for. But it is the Beast "hanging out" with other Avengers.

Although there are many different versions, this will always be the "real" Beast in my opinion...

CLASSIC.

I musta missed something? I don't see anything classic in that, maybe it's sarcasm and I can't hear it?

Don't worry, Michael.

Nathan is being sarcastic.

(Either that, or he's ill...)

It's a Beast!  A horrible, monstrous Beast!

Ah, yes.  I really liked the "classic" blue-apeman Beast.  We have Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely to thank for Marvel's current "Lion King" version. Alas...

Are they going for more of a "Beauty and the Beast" thing? Anyone remember the old show with Perleman?

Uh...whatever, Michael. That's YOUR opinion.

PS. Thank God they finally killed Captain America.

Nathan,

Is Playgirl going to publish that cartoon you submitted?
