Continued good stuff! Some questions answered, some not, some new ones raised. Mark me down as another who's really taken by The Foundation characters.
The art work makes me go GA GA all over!!!!

The last page of #5 reminds me of the introduction of Alpha Flight
in Uncanny X-men. Love it.
Also of note, I'm curious if I'm the only one who got a 1977 John Byrne vibe from the two-page spread (with the tilted panels)
Reminded me of some Doomsday +1.
Q for Wayne, did YOU request that specifically, or is that just JB havin' fun?

I read issue 5 last night. This series gets better with each issue. I'm enjoying the introduction of all the new characters. The splash page when Tom goes through the door and sees what he sees is one of the best splash pages of JB's career. What an awesome image!
One complaint, directed not at Wayne and JB, but at those in charge at IDW: This comic is perfect for all-ages in the truest sense. An adult fan opf superheroes can enjoy it, while it still speaks to the 8-year old in each of us. In that sense it's perfect, and I'll probabaly send copies to my nephews when the series is complete. But if I send them copies, I'm going to cut the last page out of issue 5. That "Hoxford" ad would have induced nightmares in me when I was 8. I have no problem with blood splatter all over a comics page when in the right context. I was a huge fan of Preacher...but in something so all-ages oriented, maybe they need to be a little more cautious about what ads get placed in the books.

Just got my copy in the mail yesterday, and I assent: best issue yet. Loved seeing JB's renditions of the mythological creatures, and I also adored seeing Tom fight the skeleton army. Great job, Wayne, to you and JB.

The thing that I was most intrigued about in issue 5 of FX and the previous issue was the inclusion of the Foundation! They reminded me of an elemental version of the Fantastic Four and I would really love it if there was a spin-off series about them! Especially is John Byrne drew it!
