Honky Tonk. Luckily, he had worked out his aggression on Paul...

Ok, been quiet although following the thread for a while (that Granny is still scaring me into silence a wee bit, sort of expecting Darkseid to lurk around just outside the picture and all), but now curiousity has got the better of me...

Paul, one of you pick ups has "Stephen King's The Stand" written on it. What's that? Is there a comics adaptation (or at least one in the making) of that particular King piece? If so, who'se behind it (company and talent)?

Matthew, I was wondering why I couldn't find you. You've lost so much weight I probably walked by and didn't recoginize you! Congrats! I saw your sister and her friends walking around all weekend, but I never asked for a photo with them.

Joakim, Marvel will be doing the adaptation of The Stand. The artist is Mike Perkins and the writer is Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. It is not out yet.

Interesting. Not familiar with Perkins or Aguirre-Sacasa, are they any good?

Perkins is pretty good. He had been the fill-in artist for Steve Epting on Captain America. Aguirre-Sacasa has been hit or miss.

Paul, I'm pleased (and more than a little flattered, Dearie) that you liked my Granny Goodness costume so much.

I had a lot of fun putting it together and wearing it at WWC, and now I'm having fun blogging about it at http://jrjenks.blogspot.com/search/label/Granny%20Goodness

Please let me know when your friend makes those other pics available.

Paul, Where did you get that Worlds Finest shirt???????

That is one of my iconic comic book covers/issues when I was little!!!!!  Not only did that issue have Batman and Superman switch costumes to trick the villians, they were on a planet made up entirely of HOT WOMEN!!

I must have that shirt.
