 QUOTE:
Is there?  That surprises me.  I thought although OMD has generally been pooped on from a great height, BND seems to have gone down well.

I'd be one of those "lots of guys out there."

I've got no particular love for what was going on in the Spider-books prior to OMD, although I did find Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man to be quite enjoyable.

A co-worker's been picking up Amazing since BND started, and I've read his copies (up to about halfway through the Wolverine/blizzard/Chris Bachalo storyline) and found them to be stunningly mediocre, at their best.  While even mediocrity may be an improvement over much of what came before, it certainly hasn't made me forget that Peter made a deal with the devil to get us there, nor has it shown me anything that couldn't have been done without said deal.  And it's also not demonstrated to me that it's worth anything approaching 9 bucks a month to read.

Maybe John Byrne will replace Didio as VP

Would JB really want that job and all the politics that go with it?

I can't say I despise the new direction of Spider-Man because I stopped reading it when it they did the Gwen Stacy/Norman Osborn love child thing.  It may be good, but they'd pretty much have to reset the clock back to 1972 in terms of continuity for me to be interested again to wash the Gwen/Norman thing away.

Now, if they revealed that Gwen was a Skrull back then and the real Gwen was still alive I might give it a shot, LOL.
