I don't know...  Incompetent leaders have a way of holding onto power...

Or that Jimmy Palmiotti is being handicapped as his replacement.

Out with the old,  in with the old I guess. The replacements sound like more of the exact same.

Wow.  I don't think I have read anything as biased and one-sided as the "reporting" in this "article".

One of my favorite "facts" was, "With DC Universe so much a part of Warner Bros' bottom line, getting DC Comics back on track has to be a top priority."

DC is a drop in the bucket of the Warner empire.  I'm betting half the executives in Warner don't even realize they own DC.

"DC is a drop in the bucket of the Warner empire."

I'd have to agree. Where DC stands on the sales charts is a triviality considering how little money is being made.

I stand corrected about Warner executives not knowing they own DC.  According to Rich Johnstons newest column it appears Warner is very happy with DC and Didio right now.

...we are referencing Rich Johnston now for accuracy? Is this based on his track record?

I don't know the man, but like Criswell, if you make enough predictions and prophecies you are likely to get an occasional one right.  But your batting average will suck. (Wow, Criswell and baseball in the same paragraph!)

I hope the Criswell reference isn't too obscure.

"Remember how just a few months back many thought Quesada was going to lose his job because of One More Day? He's still around."

Mainly because what's followed One More Day has been good!  Maybe Quesada did the right thing.  Oh, and I'm not buying any DC Comics at the minute.

Steven Grant just dedicated half his blog to this subject and the villagers with torches mentality that was rampant last week.  He makes a whole lot of sense.

I'm personally all for OMD/BND (especially now that they've got Roger Stern on board writing an Amazing story) but there's still lots of guys out there who absolutely despise it. From their perspective, the corporate officers of Marvel are out of their minds keeping JQ around.

Is there?  That surprises me.  I thought although OMD has generally been pooped on from a great height, BND seems to have gone down well.  Granted I don't spend a lot of time on many comic sites so I may be out of the loop.  Put it this way, my 8 year old loves BND so in that respect it's a job well done.  Now, if only other 8 year olds could find the damn thing...
