Incidentally -- those HEROS pieces. The lower one I bought at my first New York con, circa 1974. It was $50. Might as well have been $50,000. That seemed like the earth, the moon, the stars to me, unemployed wannabe cartoonist who had spent his "life savings" on the trip to the Big Apple. Over the three days of the con I kept going back to the dealer's table and looking at it -- verging on fondling it.

Obviously, I eventually convinced myself it was worth it!

Are those original pieces of artwork?

I ask because they're in color, and comic book art usually isn't.

All done with Pelican ink JB, Frank Bellamy  would mix just three colours to get that effect i miss the guy.
