I wished that I had one of those! At nearly 2 feet tall, those things seemed
enormous to me when I was a kid. Fortunately, I'm still a kid at heart and
I'm pursuing one one eBay as we speak. If you feel like recapturing your
youth, search under Shogun Warriors or Great Mazinga on eBay.

So, James, did you just not notice this guy, or. . . ?

Ah, Raydeen.  My personal favorite.  Had an 8" metal one that was a source of much joy.

I just went and looked at all the pictures, the picture titled "Wall of Batman" should read "Wall of AWESOME!"

Tom Swift books, very nice.

Mr Byrne,  let me throw this out there, If all of those on the forum would meet at a town within driving distance of the Batcave, I mean the Byrne estate, and offered to treat you to  "food and merriment" (sorry I am really into the new BBC Robin Hood series) and took care of gas. Would you be willing to meet those interested?

* The location of Batcave/Byrne Estate not included in offer.

Added: also to make sure those coming were serious Byrne fans, you would have to have at least 623 post or above. hee hee I just noticed I had that many posts and got kind of excited, weird numbers patterns interest me (6 divided by 2 is 3, 623, favorite time of day 11:11, ok I am weird, blond moment........never mind)

I had Raydeen when I was a kid. He shot little yellow darts out of his chest. AWESOME.

My brother had Mazinga.  I had the red one with the "crown" that shot shurikens out of a wrist blaster.  They were too cool.

I had 3 of the Shogun Warriors, passed down from my two older brothers.  Once I had lost every piece that could be lost, missles & fists mostly, they mysteriously vanished out of my room, never to be seen again.

It's taken me close to 30 years to lose most of the parts. This last move cost
Raydeen a hand!

Holy thread drift, but does anybody know the name of the red one I had?

Here's a good start, Ted.

Looks like I had Raydeen, Dragun (his battle axe throw was my favorite), and Gaiking.

Even though I have absolutely no place to display these, and wouldn't let my kids anywhere near them, I'm so tempted to hit eBay right now.

John Byrne said "So, James, did you just not notice this guy, or. . . ?"

========================

Actually, he was in the edge of one of my blury photos, so I didn't include him.  I really wish that I took many more photos since there are so many great things to look at in your studio.
