I told them I loved them, too, regardless of their weird religion.

LOL

Name of the pilot's mother, in fact.

I know it's an honor to have a plane named after you, but it would have bummed me knowing that my name was forever linked to the dropping of the atomic bomb, even if it hastened the end of the war.

During her lifetime, and for years after (and for some of us, even to this day)
dropping that bomb was considered a GOOD thing.

Oooh... snap Tom! I'll have to remember that one.

I think one of the funniest things about the military, and their anti-gay
stance is those little bitty shorts, they still to this day put their guys in,
and sell at the uniform shops!

My dad is retired Navy, so every time I visit them, my mom takes me to
the base and the Navy Exhange (which is like a K-Mart). The uniform
shop is next door. Those guys love to wear their little, clingy, ever so see
through shorts.

Military uniforms never really did all that much for me, police stuff, either.  Now, athletic gear... WOOF!

I get a little excited when I see a good looking cop in a snug uniform. I love
the pants motorcycle cops have to wear. So tight! Unfortunately a good
looking cop is a rare event down here. And the UPS man is always a pleasure
to see...

And now, because in some dim corner of my mind I think people might care:

A list of favorite male celebrities from my youth who weren't exactly Lance Manly types

  • Charles Nelson Reilly (The fuckin' MAN!)
  • Roddy McDowall (One of my favorite voices)
  • Jim Nabors (Hilarious as Pyle)
  • Dom DeLuise (exuberant)
  • Rip Taylor (that classic rat-a-tat-tat delivery)
  • Paul Lynde (wit so dry you could store it in the pantry for years)

What does this mean?  Hell if I know.

And Vin Deisel?  From virtually nowhere to being in The Iron Giant and a friggin' Spielberg movie?  That kind of career trajectory must have had some serious g forces!

edit: i before e, dumbass...
