THE Osmonds? Wow...

Marie has a new commercial for NutriSystem (I think). How she ate all their
wonderful food and lost all this weight. She looks really good...but I highly
doubt she ate all that crappy food to get looking how she does.

Tom Cruise is gay? No friggin' way.  Next you'll be saying Elton John is gay.  You'd have to be straight to pull off the Donald Duck costume, right? Right?  As for Liberace -- that dude had chops -- don't love his music but sure do appreciate the way he played.  Like all the greats he seemed to know when NOT to play the notes.

I just got back and man you guys have been having fun, I have cracked up reading  this.

Vin Diesel, I thought he was great in Saving Private Ryan.

What about George Clooney? Tom had mentioned that in another thread, is this true?

Tom Cruise, who cares gay or straight, the man is crazy. Jerry O'Connell did the best parady on him

I wouldn't kick Geoge Clooney and Van Diesel out of bed.

Remember George Michael?...his image on "FAITH" screamed gay out loud!

Elton John?...i don't feel so proud to count him among us!

Ever flown in a B-29 Superfortress? Better yet, ever been crew on the
tarmac servicing one? The shorts are quite practical.

Guess I shouldn't have used the word 'servicing' like that in this
thread...

I had an Aunt Gay. It was a beautiful name.

(Also knew a man - janitor at my old public school, whose first name was
Gayle).

Marie is the Osmond I like the most -- probably because she was the one I spent the least amount of time with.  I was out on "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" right as Donny was leaving for his and Marie's ill-fated talk show -- remember that?

I had a great job on that show as the children's choir director.  I would arrive in town a week before the show, train a local kid's chorus for five days and then put them in as the "audience" for the "lesson" that the Narrator is telling with the story of Joseph.  Cake job -- and generally a lot of fun -- but it wore on me after a while.  I HATED the show (typical Andrew Lloyd Webber schlock), but enjoyed working with the kids, who really dug doing it.

The Osmonds were a trip.  When Donny left, his nephew David took over the role (Alan's oldest son) -- with his brother "Osmonds, the 2nd Generation."  David did it for a year or so, then had to go out on his "mission," so Patrick Cassidy took over from there -- and he's remained one of my best friends.

They really do believe that Mormon tripe -- Alan and I once argued for over three hours by a rooftop pool in Dallas about the nature of Satan -- and more than once told me that they "loved me regardless of my sexual choices."  I told them I loved them, too, regardless of their weird religion.
