Disappointing to say the least.  Another dark day.

And Tom, don't worry about what the world thinks of America; there are bigger problems to deal with here than to worry about what the folks across the street are thinking.

Bill, that's given me the best laugh of the day!  I love Rex and all, but I'd NEVER want to kiss him... (unless he wins the superbowl, then maybe...)

Tell you what, if I was a gay service member right now, I'd come out.  And I'd urge everyone else to do the same.  Prosecute me.  Fuck you.  Put someone's life on the line to be treated with that kind of gratitude?

Tom, could not agree with you more.

When I was in the service in the 80's, I did not care who was by my side. All I cared about was If I could count on them.

Kevin, unfortunately Obama - via his actions and own words - has no intention of using the power of Executive Order. It's aggravating when a judge rules contrary to what you think, they're labeled "activist judges" but yet if they legislate from the bench in your favor, there's no real outrage.

Considering the marriage of Obama's parents was illegal in some states, it seems to really personify hypocrisy and blatant discrimination. As Tom and others here have stated, substitute "Gay" for any ethnic group to be prohibited from openly serving in the military and there would be an uproar.

With that in mind, any uncomfortable family nicknames for anybody?  I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours!

******************

When I was little I used to fall and bang my head a lot. I have scars all over my forehead from it, so all my aunts and uncles used to call me Little Willy Lump Lump.

My daughter Calleigh has fallen and put two gashes in her forehead in the last week. Both required trips to the ER. So I think I'll start calling her Little Calleigh Lump Lump.

One of the gashes was about an inch long and it was so wide open you could see her skull. I have never seen that much blood! And all they had to do to close it was to glue and wait for the glue to dry. When I was little I had ones smaller than that and had to have stitches.
