thanks guys! Haven't been here due to holidays in Madrid! [cool Madrid photos on facebook ;) ]
I guess Joakim said it best: "even if you don't plan to do something (...) it's always nice to know that you could if you wanted to"

Jodi, that's one of my fears- to be in a situation like that when I have no ID. Heck, not to get morbid, but I am sometimes afraid of dying or being hurt in my bedroom and nobody realizing it for some days. Okay, uplift, uplift. Think of baby sea otters.

Ed it reminds me of one of the Sex in The City episodes, where Miranda talks to a lady in the building about someone dying in the building and their cat eating off their face. Then later Miranda chokes on a piece of chinese food and panics to Carrie that she is by herself.
Tell your room mates if they don't see you, they should check in your room. If you need someone, call Jon, he can be your emergency person. :0)
Think of baby sea otters.
I have kind of thought about seeing if I could volunteer to go south and help cleaning up the wildlife from the oil spill. But with it still leaking, where would be a safe place to release these animals.
Oh man for some reason I am really depressed now.
Ok this made me happy, I love knowing I play baseball better that a T-Rex, haha they have those stupid short arms.

Ed, is now the time to ask you if you (eventually) want to read my dissertation? The title is The Art of Dying in Salman Rushdie's Novels Before the Fatwa: Postmodernist Fiction Revisited. ;)

Ed, I've told you about the copy of David Niven's memoirs The Moon's a Balloon that my girlfriend read, right? The back cover blurb said something about him being "the gay buccaneer" and the first thought passing her head (and later mine) was, "was he gay?" And then, "And openly so... at that time?" And then, of course, connecting the dots and reaching the conclusion that, "no, that wouldn't have been a selling point at the time."

I am sure that somebody must have seen the homoerotic undertones in the "Lure Him Away from the Poolboy" ad even in the 50s. I mean - come on!
