Wow, there are like 8 posts regarding my name. Not in a thousand years I would have thought this would be so interesting for so many people. But like Pedro said if you're supposed to have your real name here then my real name is Arc Carlton. Now if that wasn't my name (and this is just an "if"), then my real name would be something that you would have a hard time guessing unless you've read lots of Latin American writers. Because I was named after the main character in a well known novel. And my middle name would be quite common too, but it wouldn't be Jose, Enrique, Jairo or any of the options you have posted.

Okay everybody, break out your copies of "100 Years of Solitude" and "Love in the Time of Cholera." Arc, you're stretching the definition of "real." That is NOT you real name as you admit, therefore it is not real. And quite honestly, it's not all that fair that we all put ourselves out there with our real names (which IS Forum policy). We're not going to stalk you.

Love in the Time of Cholera
I love that movie.
It's funny something popped in my head, imaginary friends as kids, did any of you have one? I didn't and feel completely cheated. My oldest son had one and his name was Bob and he was married to a lady named Mary Ann, their kids were Michael and Jay Fox. this is Jon and Bob

Jairo Mortimer? Oh well... Who cares anyway.
Jodi: Imaginary friends... I tried one for like 5 minutes but it wasn't that fun. My brother is only 1.5 years older than me so I didn't really need an imaginary friend.
(brother goes *Awwww*)
PS - cute photo :) The invisible one is a bit ugly though ;)

I didn't even know they sold tickets to THAT.
More Al: "You know who else has never invited us to his beach house? Geoff Gibson.
Just sayin'."
What? You weren't invited? Um... I mean... erm... nor was I. Hm. No. No, of course not. Nope. Never invited. *whistles*
Arc wrote: "I've found out a lot of things about him on line . And I think it would be easy to send him an email but I'm sure he doesn't remember my name. But I now that if he looks at me he will remember me. So I'm still not sure about what am I going to do ."
I'd say remind him of your name. "Hi, remember me... we took classes X and Y together back in the day and blah blah blah..."
Ed wrote: "Arc, I figured your name wasn't really Arc Carlton. :) I bet there's a 95% chance of you having a Jose somewhere in your name. :) "
Nah. It's an anagram, Ed. Carl Carton. ;)

Now impossible not to think of the many José Arcadio Buendía from Cien años de soledad, and while the José is obviously not part of it, Arcadio does contain an Arc... ;)
