The government of Iowa is preparing their celebrations for the First Anniversary of Same-Sex Marriage in the state. They have been contacting all the couples that have been married to share their stories. They posted our pic among many couples that have answered in a Picasa Album.

Seeing so many couples happy brought a tear in my eye and a smile. Here's the link: http://picasaweb.google.com/OneIowaEquality/IowaSFirstWeddin gAnniversary#

I'm not writing this to get everyone to worry about me but I just got back from the hospital. I had an accident and I nearly cut my right thumb. I got some stitches and now I'm not supposed to move my thumb for nine days. Good thing is that I can still move it, so it's not as serious as it sounds but at least for now I won't be able to draw at all. Too bad because I was involved in a small project that seems like I won't be able to do now.

I had an accident and I nearly cut my right thumb.

I hear this is the biggest snowstorm accident at hospitals.  Many people clean out jams in their snowblowers and lose fingers.  Even when snowblower is off/unplugged, there's a blade in the chute that still will spin once unjammed.

Arc, I had no idea you were an artist.  Do you have any galleries posted online?

Ed Aycock: Yes, I can still walk, jump or run . And I'm not really an artist, I just post a few sketches every now and then in the sketch thread. This is the last one I did (which is probably the best), loosely inspired in Igor Kordey:

Victor : Thank you. I have to take one pill to prevent infections and another one for the pain. So everything is under control.
Tom French: Well, problem is that the cut is near the thumb's articulation so I can't really move it now. And it hurts more than I thought it would. I can still use the keyboard, though.
Pedro: Glad to hear you liked that sketch!
Juan José: Actually, I was a bit drunk and I broke a bottle or fell on top of it, don't remember exactly what happened. I didn't feel any pain at the moment or when the doctor was doing the stitches but then the whole hand started to hurt.
