I'd prefer never to be "Mr. French" -- that's my dad! -- but those are the rules...

I understand that Tom and you are a cool guy, but as a parent thats one of our rules for our kids.  We tell Kaitlin (Elizabeth is bit too young) that a teacher is "Ms. or Mr. Last Name", a coach is "Coach Last Name."  My wife and I think that speaking that way is a sign of respect and teaches children to respect and honour their elders.  I would never say that should be the case for everyone, but its how we've decided to roll.  If I can teach my daughters to treat others with respect and dignity I think I may have done a big part of my job (well, assuming I keep them both off the pole . . . . )

Thanks Geoff, though I'm not sure how proud of it I should be!

But you did make me smile...

For what its worth you said what I was thinking, though you did not use near enough profanity!

Brian -- they're called "Lavender Elite" cards, but they'll get you in to most clubs.

"enough of this thread"

---

I disagree!

Edited to provide context - Tom posted while I was responding to
the "enough" post...

I absolutely agree with this point, which is why I don't buck the system until the kids have graduated -- it makes me feel like I've given them the gift of being on peer with adults.

I don't mind children of friends calling me "Mr. Tom," though.

After the ugliness of the swine thread, this is a palate cleanser. If you don't like it here, go reread it. My guess is you would like it.

Well, the 'e' in 'enough' is not capitalized, so it's obvious we're missing the
first part of that sentence.

My guess is that it was "I cant get..."
