They should be feeling guilty, not intimidated.

On a lighter note, anybody wanna cheer up a sick guy and call him?  I have been sick for three days, all my friends are outta town and I am miserable.  I won't leave town until Thursday.  If anybody's interested, my number's on my Facebook page.

I can't make any promises , Ed.

So today I saw "Far from Heaven" in my lit and film class . I saw it originally in 2002 but now, somehow , I've enjoyed it more. I identify myself with one of the main characters, the gay husband that goes to the psychiatrist hoping to achieve a "full heterosexual conversion" . I remembered when I was 14 or so and I was trying to convince myself that I wasn't gay .

" Like the poor gay guy is supposed to cower limp wristed in the corner.

Moyer I keep seeing Tom in my head with Patrick Swayzee saying "You don't put baby in the corner!" LOL

Tom I am so proud of the stand you are taking, you will be making changes for those that follow. Way to go!!!

Ed I was sick too this week, if I had been on the computer I could have seen this and called and we could have commiserated together.  Hope you are feeling better.

Well, here we go!  My high school reunion tonight!

Arc, I loved "Far from Heaven."  They even namecheck my hometown when they leave the doctor and Julianne Moore says there must be another doctor, maybe even Springfield?  She's referring to Springfield, MA which is 30 minutes from hartford, where the film is set.

"Far from Heaven" is inspired by "All That Heaven Allows," one of my favorite movies of all time.

Good to know I'm not the only fan of the movie. And I've seen a few of Sirk's movies, among them "All that Heaven Allows". Far From Heaven has also a couple of references to "Imititation of Life" and "Written on the Wind".

Ed, that's a funny coincidence, living near Hartford. I wonder how does Hartford look like today .

Arc, Hartford is a dump.

The movie was set in Hartford but filmed in New Jersey.

Went to my reunion!  One of my fellow gay classmates grabbed my hand during a slow song and made me dance with him on an almost empty dance floor in front of hundreds of my old classmates.

It was fantastic!
