I don't like MySpace and don't use twitter but I do really enjoy facebook.

From what I hear Facebook is very useful. But I still refuse to use it...

Anyway, on a complete different note I'm having lunch with John on Friday. Last time I had the entire house painted and bought new table cloths and napkis and lots of things (for the first time wine was the cheapest purchase, and it was an expensive wine). And now I just re did the kitchen, not completely, but it was a 5 day work, looks much better now. But it's not like I'm giving this much importance , is it?

Just finished watching director Kirby Dick's Outrage and if Obama doesn't make a move for gay rights I'm not voting to re-elect.  Enough is enough.

I testified yesterday before the DC council on gay marriage.  The minority was VERY vocal -- what it says in the Bible, etc -- but it seems like the DC council has pretty much already determined its answer.  Seems like these hearings were just a formality.  (10 council members out of 13 have already signed on to support the bill.  Pelosi and Reid had signaled that they will not allow congressional objections, so it might just be that we have marriage in DC by the end of the year.)

Since Eric and I are already domestic partners (a phrase I hate) we will automatically be "updated" to marriage status, but we're probably gonna do a quick ceremony anyway.  Just for fun.

Saw that recently too -- very, very good!  None of the names were news of course.  But it really underscored how hypocritical a town Washington is.

You guys should totally register with a department store or something.   That was one of the coolest parts of the "wedding" -- zapping shit with the Gun!

What gets me is that the vocal minority is getting coverage but the rally you and a large number more attended gets next to none.

The bible contains a lot of contradictory messages and bigots seem to pick and choose which ones they adhere to.

It's funny that the "family values" lowlifes are the ones doing more harm to the "sanctity" of marriage than two people of the same gender who wish to get married.  However, it's also sad because people still buy into what that crowd is saying.

Wow the resurrection of the thread and the return of Tom! Yay!

REI sounds like a great place to register Tom.

Anyone doing anything fun for Halloween? Dressing up? I'm going to be a boyscout this year!

Nothing too exciting for me.  I plan on watching some classic horror films such as "Nosferatu", Lon Cheney's "The Phantom of the Opera", "M", "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" and some of the monster movies from the 30's and 40's from Universal Studios.  Being single leaves me with plenty of spare time for that.  Would rather be doing something else, but that's not an option.

Moyer, are you gonna be one of the weblos? ;-)
