I feel bad and am guilty of cheating on our lovely thread, with that sexy bitch Facebook. Damn her and her witty status updates and raunchy profile pics. I am sorry Big Fat Gay Thread Drift, you are my first love and I promise to be more attentive.
I hope this helps (but good luck getting that big facebook whore Tom to come back to you :0)
Seriously I have been busy getting everything ready for Jonathan's visit, he is town for the weekend to do a Q&A session at the Heartland Film Festival.
He got in today, but it was such a shitty trip, he has said he won't be leaving NY for a very long time. Because he had to leave at 5am to catch a bus to JFK , the bus driver was rude and he missed his stop at the airport so he was running late for the plane.
People let him cut thru the security line but the security guy got pissed because he thought Jon should not have asked to cut to the front and did a full search on him. He brought back a bunch of free stuff from Marvel that cost him $120 dollars to check in because the suitcase weighed 75 lbs
his connecting flight in chicago, he got on what he thought was his plane and after getting settled in his seat, was told, the guy at the gate let him on the wrong plane and his right plane had already left. He was put on stand by and did get a flight 2 hours later (which BTW the Indy airport sucks for killing time)
Well he finally got here but his over priced , extra heavy marvel filled suitcase didn't. On the way home the car broke down and we had to have it towed to the dealer.
But the great news is, he is here and all in one piece.

Oh my Jodi!!! Poor Jonathan!!! When it rains it pours huh? I'm sure he's glad to be with his mama now though.
Yeah I read some of the Facebook threaddrift stuff, but to be honest I have no idea what anyone is talking about half the time so I just read what I can and delete it.
FB is very addicting, and even a really cool app on the iPhone! You can update your status while taking a poop!

I was late to joining Facebook too, I didn't see much of a point in it. But some friends of mine from college are on it and finally got me to join. It's very addicting!
Moyer, the iPhone is almost as bad as crack! Sometimes I joke about some of the things they could have an app for and then I find they actually do! Were you ever able to get your computers to transfer music?
Jodi, my condolences! Murphy's Law is a cruel thing indeed. Was Jonathan's luggage ever recovered?
If we ever do the JBF meetup in NYC, I'm taking the train instead of flying (less hassle getting to Penn Station than it would be getting to and from the airport).

My iPhone won't sycn with my work computer since its already synced with my home laptop, which is fine. It's where most of my music is anyway. I checked online blogs and there is a way to "clone" your synced iTunes folder with another computer, but it's too much hassle.
I think apple should allow you to connect your iphone to at least three computers (home, work, laptop) without any fuss though. The regular ipod syncs to virtually any computer, don't know why it has to be so different for the iPhone.

That's odd that the iPhone isn't able to do what the iPod does (I think the iPod can work on up to 5 different authorized machines). I wonder if it'd work if some music was on one computer and another set of music was on a different computer?
My main problem with doing the synching is that when it does the automatic backup it isn't fast for my iPhone anymore. When I first got it, the backup was maybe a few minutes. Now it goes on for a long period.
Still, it does come in handy on the long train ride home from work.

Jodi : It is like one of those comedy movies when bad luck is like a curse. But I'm sure , like in those movies, there will only be good luck from now on.

I was late to Facebook but it led to me going to a school reunion that was organized on there. Plus there's always a chance of Al making me smile with a witty update.
