I'd like to get married maybe, and settle down.  But in the meantime, I'm sorely tempted to answer a personal ad and just marry some like-minded stranger, just to show the obvious injustice in the way we do marriage in this country.  Just the fact that I can marry someone I just met in Vegas - as long as it is a woman - makes me want to cry.

Congratulations, Juan!  I'm very happy for you.  Just because I'm single and couldn't get a woman short of having money exchange hands (not that I've tried that) that shouldn't endow me with the "right" to get married and shun those that are with someone they care about and want to spend the rest of their life with.

I hope you have a wonderful time, Juan.  If you're on this board too much, you're not getting the full benefits of your honeymoon!

Uh-uh. No marriage here!

Contrats to you and your partner Juan Jose!!!!

After my vacation to San Diego with my partner, I don't want to get married... I almost could have left him after one blow up we had. I had to compromise almost everything I wanted to do over him and am so over it. It was a vacation where I solely existed to make my partner happy.

I'm sorry to hear that, Moyer.  Hopefully you can go on a vacation soon and be able to enjoy the things you want to do.

Vacations are supposed to be a good time. I'm sorry to hear things were not as good as they should have been. I wish I had something wise to say but since I have no real dating experience there is not much I can say about this...

You're too sweet Arc! I didn't mean to drag down Juan's positive news with my negativity, but I had to vent somewhere!

I hear vacations can make or break a relationship.
