Jodi: It's great to know someone is listening to me. When I was in therapy I never had the need to talk about my life with anyone, not even online.

For some reason I get along with John . The other day we got in the wrong classroom and realized about it only when a fat, old teacher came through the doors. We left immediately and laughed about it. And the last few classes our crazy teacher has asked us to work in pairs, and since we always sit together we work together too. If I could ask for one wish it would be "please let John be gay" but I have to accept the facts. A pink t-shirt proves nothing, anyway.

I don't hate my mother. And usually things are very pacific between us. It's a "don't ask, don't tell" policy. She never asks about my personal life (unlike some annoying aunts that are always asking how come I don't have a girlfriend) and I never tell her anything too personal.

Juan Jose : I would say my father is more open minded. It did take him a while to assimilate things, though.

When I was 19 my parents were quite hostile. 6 years ago home was like hell, but things have improved a lot during that time. Now my father doesn't agree with my mother, but then again they almost got divorced a couple of years ago, so I guess disagreement amonth them comes as a normal thing.

Marc: That's a great condom anecdote. I wish I had something fun to share. Maybe next time.

OK, enough about my life. Now let's talk about comics or something!

And Moyer: you just made me laugh with the hair comment (totally unexpected) and thanks, I needed to laugh a bit.

I don't know why but I think this is pretty funny.

Today I spent over 3 hours with John. A bunch of Americans went to visit the historic center of the city, and John asked me if I wanted to go and I said sure. I was the only Peruvian in the group. And although I talked to him, I didn't say or ask anything personal since there were other people around. We had a lot of fun. We saw things that I had never seen before (and I live here!).

I'm thinking maybe the only way to feel better is to tell John that I'm gay. But I don't know if we could be friends. I feel so attracted to him .

The little critters knew how to say it though, Al.  That's got to count for something.

Arc,   if you're THAT attracted to him, it seems that that attraction will be in the way of proper friendship whether you tell him or not...  in which case, that is not a factor you should consider at all when deciding about whether to tell him or not.  Just an honest thought.

Joakim : I think you're right. I'll try to have all this thing sorted out next week.

I thought I was going to wait until next week. But I met him today and we spent a couple of hours together talking. And turns out he IS GAY. I was so happy to find out John was gay and then, of course, he told me he was already dating someone. So I guess for now that's the end of it. We still have a class together so I'll see him there. It's a bit frustrating, I've spent the last few weeks wishing that he was gay and he is but he has a boyfriend too. And I have no experience at all in this kind of situation, I've never had a boyfriend before, I'm 25 but I'm already feeling like the 40 years old virgin because I've never had sex (haven't even been close to it), add the low self-esteem and the fact that I'm not attractive at all... I just consider myself lucky that someone so nice as John would talk to me in the first place.
