Well he's definitely on the right path, and in a position to really network with some big names! My buddy Rich worked as an special projects editor for DC Comics a couple years ago, and let me tell you, it was too cool for school to be able to visit DC comics in person and meet a lot of my favorite editors. Dan Didio wasn't there though. I got to see Carlin's office, a ton of original art and walked away with a ton of free stuff. Tell Jon I will be expecting a tour of the Marvel offices upon my next trip!

Astoria is in Queens, Jodi (if I recall correctly its where Archie Bunker lived). Where are Marvel's offices in Manhattan?

Astoria is just a short subway hop to the city. Make sure Jonathan hits some of the excellent Greek restaurants, but especially the pastry shops, many of which are extraordinary.

Yeah it is in Queens, and Kris (My son from another mother) and Erin have already found the great greek pastry shops, they were telling me about something called a Lobster Tail. Marvel is on 5th Ave. near the Library.
Moyer I'll tell him to start thinking of ways to get us all tours. I have already told him that he needs to tell the Marvel EIC to do stories that are contained in a single issue, to print books in newsprint for kids and have them on the shelf at kid level at all grocery checkouts and keep the price under 1 dollar. He said he would work on that . :0)

I am telling you this boy is so excited he would pay them just to work there.

Astoria is a neat place. Being so close to Manhattan, it's not so cheap anymore.
But if they double or triple up with roommates, it could be good.
Jackson heights in Queens is loud, chaotic, all kinds of people, 24 hour Mexican food carts, exotic dance clubs next to gay bars next to barber shops.
It's awesome.

I stayed in Jackson Heights last time I was there Ed! It was very eclectic, a true mish mash of cultures. I felt often times like the only white boy on the street!

Jodi, send my congrats to Jon as well. Sounds like a potentially fun gig. Especially seeing as how Disney just bought (or is in the process of buying) Marvel. This could mean a new age of All Ages comics from Marvel if we're lucky. Ok, so maybe we won't be lucky, but darn it, I'll stay optimistic on this one. And with you on the inside channel, Jodi.... well. =)
