Arc,
No, I don't believe so. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't running afoul of
the old "boys will like boys" thread.
Pedro,
I don't know why I like him, I just find him totally adorable. Actually, the
curly locks are part of his appeal for me.

The commercials are all pretty stupid, he has bad credit, and therefore has to work at a Red Lobster?
Or the Renaissance Festival...
(Green tights is the punishment for bad credit!)

After four hours in the DC Dept of Motor Vehicles, I'm happy to say I finally got my DC driver's license. I had to prove who I was more ways to transfer my license than to get my passport. So glad that's finally over!
(I got some reading done. Reading "PRIDE & PREJUDICE & ZOMBIES" right now -- NOT loving it.)

I looked through that at the bookstore, Tom. I felt like it could have been funnier. Plus, the original novel is so funny and great on its own.
I'm reading "The Girl with the Dragon tattoo." It's a good siogn that I've been reading because I was so down, i had no energy earlier in the summer. But poor Joakim is going to get peppered with questions about Sweden from me because of the book.

Don tell your wife congrats on the great interview, she has a good sense of humor. I believe there is a lot of "teacherlore" that could be changed, I feel teachers have one of the hardest jobs there is, but sometimes I think we need more out of the box thinkers.
It's funny I kept trying to get Jackson to get excited by one of the traditional books, but he found some amine books and LOVES those.
Oh I forgot to ask. Is anyone else excited about the "Where the Wild Things Are" movie?

Jodi -- please check out this great book! It was one of our staff summer reading requirements and I LOVED it for just the reasons you bring up.

Tom thanks for the suggestion, I'll get it this weekend, I have always felt I was a right brainer.
Marc you need to pick up a copy of the book, it's never too late. Another of my favorites was Harold and His Purple Crayon. It's funny now when I think about books for my kids I do think about buying them, when I was growing up we went to the library weekly. I can still remember the smell of it. We got to pick out 4 books a piece. Kids now don't go to the library as much it seems or maybe it's me. I love reading books over and over so I always want to buy it, sadly I have passed that onto my kids.
But I tell you, if I lived in NY I would make a point of going, here are some pictures I took when I went there. Because that is where Carrie got jilted. But found it was a beautiful place.\

Jodi -- great pics, no matter your motivation for going there! I miss the city a lot. Perhaps we'll get up there this year.

Favorite children's books??? Okay...
WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE GREEN EGGS & HAM (better than CAT IN HAT, I think. I have all his books.) THE VELVETEEN RABBIT
And I will confess this only to a few, I STILL have a childhood copy of LITTLE BLACK SAMBO that I pull out whenever I want to remind people about how Xenophobic we can really be.
