We've already talked about it and that is exactly what my wife wants me to do. She thinks in the long run I'd be happier. She has been my rock through all this crap since I lost my job. I honestly don't know what I'd do without her.
With everything that happened recently, I realize I'm one of the luckiest guys on Earth to have someone like her. She pushes me when I need it and knows just when to back off and let me go. She's my best friend and the perfect person for me. Mostly because she puts up with all of me, good and bad.

Congrats William!!! That is very exciting, and sheesh, talk about job security!
You could pretty much walk into any lawfirm here and get hired. Downtown
New Orleans is an attorney mecca!

William has sold his soul and entered the legal profession, why oh why?!
All kidding aside, best of luck. It's great you have a solid support system with your family. I hope it works out for you.

Yeah, but if William works for a firm that fights for the little guy, then it's
good right?

That's exactly the reason I want to go into this profession. I want to do something where I feel I can make a difference. My goal is to work in constitutional law and hope I can find a job doing that.

As Tim Gunn would say William "Make It Work!" then swing his head
dramatically and walk out of a room.

I want to do something where I feel I can make a difference.
Something that gets missed among the call of lawyers as sophists, leeches, and parasites is that an attorney is an advocate. It means we are required to be on our client's side; which almost always makes a difference. Believing that everyone, even the most horid person, is entitled to an advocate is how one can represent he worst of the worst. Not because you think this person specific deserves help -- but because every person does.

William, if I could have done my legal training over again, I would have been a hardcore paralegal for a good year before entering law school. You can get some invaluable real-life procedural experience that almost surely you'll entirely miss in law school -- and this will make you much more marketable upon graduation. Best of luck!

what about our compliments on your art?????????????? :P ____________________________
Well, that has been the most satisfactory and ego-nurturing (is that a word?) thing I've heard recently. So I'd say there's a slight difference, right?

No, I meant more along the line of the whole water, tower, diving, etc. It just seemed a potent scene with all the people milling about in that one place as it were. Kinda made me wonder if there was a back story to it or if there was something special that made you pick that kind of scene. As for the all male bit... there was no doubt in my mind that you found it funnier to draw. ;) (Although I think your talent deserves to be used more broadly as well. It strikes me that it'd be interesting to see quite ordinary day to day events as pictured by your pen... regardless of what sexes are presented in them.)

Well now he knows there's options on how to do it. ;)

Joakim: that's most kind of you, but honestly I don't really think I'm talented when it comes to drawing; and that's not modesty, my real talent is writing. But anyway, I do draw normal , day to day, stuff. I usually post my sketches in the "sketch book" thread.
