I'm reminded of an episode of the Simpson's where Homer shaves his shoulders...here's a link...

By the way, I posted this in another thread but I'd like to hear some comments from all of you.

Let's just hope it's not you it'll kill, Tim. ;) Other than that, a well tried method – repeat till funny!

We thought that was pretty funny. Where'd he come up with that one?"
Absolute logic as only a child could phrase it. Obviously, in a traditional wedding ceremony there are some gender based "jobs" to be performed and at the end of the day, if the gender difference is taken out of the equation, it does become a question of who's to do which job... at least if one sticks with the traditional bits, that is (but let's face it, to a kid, the stereotypical traditional bit might be what TV and surrounding culture has ingrained from early on). Still, absolutely priceless. And thanks for sharing, Mark.

Interesting sketch, Arc. What prompted the motif?

Arc, I can't say to much about art...not having an artistic bone in my body...drawing wise.
I do, however, know what like. The bit that strikes me the most in this piece is the two boys jumping...The one on the right...scared, a little late on jump, and a little less in control...I can see a whole story between those two boys.
I also like the way you caught several different body types...Average, a little chubby(I like him, he worked to get as high as he did, but won't make it any higher), skinny...overall a nice piece.

Tom, did you and Eric throw flowers? I think it'd be hilarious, if I ever
commit, for us to both throw flowers as a gag.

You mean boys instead of girls? Don't know. I guess it's funnier for me to draw guys.
Donald Miller: thank you for your words. And you're lying, if you like Byrne's stuff you're already an art expert. So I value your opinion highly. Yes, I tried to make everyone look different, and I'm glad you noticed that.
And Pedro, thank you!

Yeah, we were talking about this more last night, and we were surprised at his understanding of gender roles. It's one thing to pick that stuff up through TV, but he really processed it and understood the concept, and then applied it to a "non-traditional" situation. Amazing what your kids pick up on when your not paying attention.
Anyway, I have a feeling that no matter who he marries, that he'll be throwing some flowers along with his spouse!

No. He's tolerant, tho. He allows me one shelf in the bathroom and I have my "Byrne Box" in the guest room. He's tried to read particular things, but says the page confuses him -- he doesn't know how to read it.
He did surprise me by reading TRUE BRIT, which he really liked, thinking it was very funny, but the "traditional" superhero stuff seem to hold no interest for him -- even superhero movies don't really do it for him. (We saw the PUNISHER on tv the other day, which he felt was too violent, though we both had a lot of laughs at John Travolta's expense. And the guy playing Castle has a body that won't quit.)

Tom Jane!!! He's so hot!
Hes in HBO's new show Hung that comes on after True Blood, and you
get to see his butt almost every episode, including the opening sequence,
where he strips while walking down the streets of Detroit (I think).
