Arc, I often think the world is full of misconceptions. It's almost as if everyone assumes that everyone else is having a good time and somehow they're missing out on it.
Actually, a story, I knew this guy who should not have been having sex. Not because of the danger or anything like that, but because he had not become mature enough to handle sex. Because he was getting some he assumed that he could remain a child. That he could pout, whine, laze about, dress poorly, not learn how to talk, how to present himself well, all of the things that a boy should learn before a girl (or another boy) bestows upon him the gift of a lack of virginity. He should have had to make positive steps to improve his personality (I swear on a maturity level he wasn't even a teenager), improve his looks, improve his monetary prospects (by working harder) and then have a chance to get the girl.
Almost as if she did him a disservice by not requiring him to... grow a pair and become a man before having sex with him. Because honestly I met him ten years later and he was still the same... childish loser that I had known before.
Not that she should have withheld sex until he became that man, rather that she should not have considered him at all until that time. Maybe I'm just a little muddled but I just think geeky, immature losers shouldn't have sex until they mature and weed out their (and mine, I had much to correct as well) deficiencies.
