Has been? What do you mean has been, Tom? We not amusing you no more, sir?  ;)

As for proms... I missed my graduation prom on account of a really bad case of stomach flu. I was supposed to go with one of my best friends at the time, and needless to say she wasn't very happy about the last minute cancellation. Not that I was particularly happy about needing to go through what the flu thought I should go through either, mind you.
Sorry... all the prom talk probably triggered a dormant trauma.
All right, now, let's carry on. And discuss some more gay issues instead of that drag. :)

Just the opposite.  Believe me, Wha-Keem!

I'm sort of "back to work," working on the piece that will be debuting in Scotland at the Ediburgh Fringe Festival next month! <--- shameless plug

I'm starting a separate thread for that 'cuz I have the feeling this one has become rather familiar with its audience and not everybody "checks in" here anymore.

Still, it's fair to say that we "previewed" the piece as our Upper School musical this spring (I wrote music and lyrics) where we had the benefit of getting audience reactions and seeing what "worked" well before we went to Scotland.  Now, our task is to take fifteen minutes off the show for festival, plus do some rewrites.

Production team went back to work this past week.  I've been trying to get my re-writes done, new underscoring, etc.  We start back with actors tomorrow, Saturday.  I have two solid weeks of rehearsal, then a three-day "preview" at the school, then we fly to Scotland and perform five times during the festival in August.  How cool is that?

Anyway... this is my "last" day of summer vacation.

Sounds like fun, Tom. Wish I had the time and money to pop over and watch you, especially since I really like Edinburgh (though I've admittedly only been there once), but alas, no chance for that.

Break a leg though!

Good lord, I cannot believe I have been reading this trhead but don;t think I've offered Tom congrats yet.  If I have, sorry, I am getting old.

Tom, congrats to you!  This is fantastic.  I am the biggest gay marriage advocate (and marriage, not civil unions) yet don't ever wanna get married.  Bachelor to the end.

All the best.  Come to NYC for a honeymoon. :)

Ed, we HAVE been talking about a quick trip to Boston (no reason) and then maybe swing through NYC on the way home.

Only if you're on certain types of  medication, Kevin. Surely that colour cannot exist outside of artificial means. ;)

Was that one for me, Tom? If so, yes. Enjoy it everytime I see it. And for the record look nothing like it, especially in terms of colours (much, much paler in real life, just for starters).

How does one measure, Marc?  ;)
