I broke 230 this winter -- which was the heaviest I've ever been.  Also the bulkiest, but that's the style: eat, sleep, lift, eat, sleep, lift (around work, too!)

Spent the spring getting leaner, though didn't get myself any lower than 225.

I've stabilized around 225 right now (somedays higher, some lower) which is about 10 pounds more than my weight of the last few years, when I was a cut 216 and plateaud there.

I'm not as lean as I'd like to be now, but I like the weight I'm carrying, so I don't cry about it.  Riding my bike is helping a lot, but I still likes my cold cereal while I watch Jon Stewart...

Eric stays around 190 (almost constantly 192), but he's upped his running lately and dropped a little.

Turning away from Tom's buff body, I wonder if Gail Collins has been reading this thread?  Her editorial kind of neatly summarizes much of our discussion in this thread.

I contribute where I can Moyer!  She has a great blog on the presidential election on the Times website with David Brooks one of the Times conservative columnists.  Fun reading showing how people can civily agree and disagree, as is also evidenced in our presidential election thread.

Wow, that's the "everything's coming up roses" of newspaper articles.   Still, an excellent point.  Eric and I have honestly been talking about taking a quick trip up there just to "elope."  <-- how gay is THAT?

Bwah! I've always believed that half the fun of being gay is... well... BEING
GAY! If WE can't be gay, who can be???

Just wanted to bump this thread.....it's dangerously close to falling to page two, and this is such a fun thread, it doesn't deserve that fate.

As you were......

Thanks, Brian!  This has been a fun thread!

(I remember learning the "bump" and the "hustle" for the jr. high -- not middle school yet -- prom.  I went with Maggie Boyle, a tomboy with a pug-nose and freckles.  We knew the "freak" and the "pretzel" too.)

Ruffles.  Big velvet bow tie.

Ugh! High school dates!

I took a heavy set girl name Shawna, who was my best friend my 12th
grade year. Had a blast with her. She was fun to be around, and one of
the more popular heavy people in the school.

Then we took a trip with other friends to Six Flags Magic Mountain, and
she was a total bitch to me, for some reason. Really have no clue why. She
wouldn't sit next to me on any rides! Didn't talk to her the rest of year,
and I sat right next to her in one my classes! Ha!

I took a girl name Lisa to my Senior Prom. Saucy Italian Girl. Super
friendly and cute. That's my mistake for asking someone 6 months early
to go with me. After the 2nd semester started, I barely saw her since our
class schedules switched up... But I still took her. Girl REFUSED to dance...
I was so bummed out. I may not be able to dance well, but at least the
heavy girl Shawna tore up the dance floor with me...sigh...

This is one of my favorite threads too, thanks Talley for the save!

Edited to add:

I was dating a guy my Junior year that was really into his car and I was way too nice, he asked instead of going to prom could he use the money to buy something for his car, which I said sure.

Then the next year was my senior prom, I didn't want to go with any guys that could take it serious, like a date, so I asked a friend of mine that was gay if he wanted to go. I asked him 4 hours before prom. He wore jeans and sports jacket I wore this bright orange halter top sundress. We got there it was a sea of giant pink floor length dresses and pastel tuxes. We had the BEST time ever!!!!!!!!
