Moyer, I am on unemployment.  It's not a lot but it's something.  Thanks again for your inquiring on my behalf.  Things are pretty dire.  I apply to a job a day but know that each job opening must have thousands of applicants.

It's VERY depressing.  Some days I just feel like I am at wit's end.

I was there for about a year after graduate school, too.  Fnially I found a job I didn't like but paid well enough, and about a year ago I moved into a job I love which could have some great upside.  Just keep your chin up!

Lurking, mostly.  I'm recommending San Diego, btw.  ;)  Life is too short to be unhappy.

I'll take these in order:

Juan,

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Your happiness makes me happy! I wish you and
your future husband only the best of health and wealth... wealth in all its
true forms.

Moyer,

I am so sorry you are feeling down. I hope you can pull yourself out of it
and make of your life what you want and need. If, however, it your
sadness crosses that line into depression, I hope you will seek out the
help of others. It's hard to know whether to follow the head or the heart,
but sometimes our gut instincts are telling us "it's time" --- to make a
change, a move, whatever. Let your heart start the chat, then let your
head do the analysis --- after that, you usually are in a place to make the
right choices.

(P.S., Juan, will we get wedding pics?? Love pics!! And Moyer, it might be
fun to post some pics of you in happier times, it might help stir
something.)

I know... money's the biggest concern too of course. Kind of a stupid time to
quit a good paying job to venture forth and not have a job prospectively.

Thanks Marc! Really though, I'm not depressed by any means, just "over it"
so to speak. Just hard to make a life changing jump without hurting some
one you know intimately.

That part is unwinnable and unenviable Moyer. I'm sorry.
